This article discusses various methods for resetting cPanel passwords. Depending on your hosting type, there are different ways to reset the password of your cPanel.
Method 1: Via the cPanel Login Page
You'd first need to know where you can find your signup email address within cPanel.
Your signup email address is the email address you used when you first signed up with Bragghost. You can also find this information within your cPanel's Contact Information section.
To reset your cPanel password via the login page:
1. Enter your cPanel's URL in a browser. If your domain is live on our servers, you can access your control panel from any browser by typing the following into your address bar:
- Standard Login: www.exampledomain.com/cpanel
Note: You must replace "exampledomain.com" with your actual domain name.
2. Within your cPanel's login page, click the Reset Password link.
3. On the next page, enter your cPanel username.
4. Once done, click the Reset Password button.
5. Enter your signup email address, then click the Send Security Code button.
6. Check your email account and take note of the security code.
7. On the login page, enter your security code, then click Submit.
8. Provide your new password. We highly recommend allowing cPanel to generate one for you. Please save this password for your records.
9. Once you confirm your new password, click the Set Password button.
10. A successful notification will be displayed on the next page. Click Log in to cPanel.
11. Enter your cPanel username and new password to access your cPanel.
