File Manager is a Web-based module within cPanel where you can upload files directly to your web server in your Internet browser.
The following steps will show you how to upload files using File Manager.
1) Login to the Client Area
2) Access cPanel in your account, in the "Your Products and Services" section.
3) Once logged into the cPanel interface, click File Manager under the Files section.
4) Once you're in the File Manager platform, select the Directory you would like to upload too. In most cases, this is Web Root (public_html).
5) Click Upload at the top (pictured below).
6) On the File Upload screen, click the Select File button and select the file(s) you would like to upload from your computer.
In this example, we’re going to select logo.png on our Desktop. You can set the permissions but 644 are the default permissions for files and 755 are the default for directories.
7) Once the file is uploaded, beneath the progress bar, click Go Back. The file will appear in the folder that you uploaded it to. Below is an image of our example:
